Here, she shares her secrets on achieving plumper skin, her new skincare obsession, and the one thing she never goes to bed without.
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
I have a cup of coffee. It's my guilty pleasure, but I can't function without it!
Describe your morning and evening skincare routines.
Morning is simple: I start by washing my face with a gentle cleanser, follow with a moisturizer, and finish with sunscreen. I learned the importance of using sunscreen the hard way, so now, I am rather obsessive about it. Evening routine on the other hand, is a bit more complicated. I double-cleanse: oil cleanser first, followed by a foaming cleanser.
Next, I like to go in with an exfoliating treatment. This is a rather new step, but it's making a huge difference in terms of skin texture for me. I follow with a serum; right now, I am super-into vitamin C serums. I have some sun spots on my cheeks and vitamin C serums, combined with exfoliating treatments, are helping to fade them very well. I let my serum absorb for a couple of minutes and follow with a moisturizer.
I am obsessed with The SUPER Hydrator by U Beauty! I love using it at night because I wake up to the softest, plumpest skin in the morning.
Last step is The BARRIER Bioactive Treatment. Once again, I let my moisturizer absorb for a couple of minutes, and finish my skincare routine by applying a thick layer of The BARRIER all over my face. This is also a new step for me, and I'm loving the results I'm seeing! My skin looks plump and hydrated and has this beautiful healthy glow about it.
Who’s your beauty idol?
Audrey Hepburn. I think she is such a timeless beauty!
What's the last thing you do before you go to bed?
I apply lip balm. I keep it on my nightstand, so that I don't forget. My lips are quite dry, so it's a necessity for me. I love The PLASMA Lip Compound. It feels so hydrating on, and I love waking up to plumper lips.
What do you do when you want to reset, regroup, or detox?
I go to the beach. I don't know what it is really, but spending a few hours on the beach helps to restore me like nothing else!
What’s the best piece of beauty advice you’ve gotten?
Something I learned from my mother: She always stressed the importance of proper nutrition, a sound exercise plan, and of course, a good beauty regimen. It's a balance of the three, I think, but they all play an equally important part.
